Nancy P. Wilder has spent her life surrounded by learning, curiosity, and stories. She has taught students at every level—from elementary classrooms to middle and high school, and even university undergraduate and graduate students. No matter the age, her goal has always been the same: to inspire a love of learning and help students discover the joy of growing their minds.
Nancy has always loved reading and believes that books open doors to imagination, understanding, and adventure. Her passion for teaching naturally grew into a love of creating stories and activities that bring learning to life for young children.
The idea for Ditto and Yuck began in an unexpected way. A friend once shared something going on in her life, and Nancy responded, “Ditto… yuck.” The phrase stuck. It sparked a playful idea that grew into a story—and from there, an entire world of characters, learning, and adventure.
Through Spiral Memory Press, Nancy creates books that blend storytelling with meaningful learning experiences. Inspired by her love of teaching, reading, and creating, her goal is to design books children can explore, enjoy, and return to again and again—because learning should always feel like an adventure.
Where stories and learning grow together.
